At TotalEnergies, we aim to become carbon net zero by 2050 and become one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies by the end of this decade.
We already have major renewables projects underway in the UK, with offshore wind farms in England, Scotland and Wales.
Currently, TotalEnergies existing projects have a combined capacity of up to 3 GW, and globally the company aims to have 100 GW of generating capacity by 2030
For our gas and electricity customers in the UK, these ambitions include providing access to products that will help you achieve your own carbon neutrality goals.
Renewable-sourced supply
This means we can ensure that the energy you are supplied by us is backed by certificates from renewable-generated sources. These certificates transfer green credentials to the energy you are supplied. Our certificates come from UK-based renewable generation, ranging from solar and wind turbines to anaerobic digestion and biomass plants.
Certificates are required to evidence your supply is renewable-sourced in many emissions reporting schemes. For power, we use Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificates administered by Ofgem and Guarantee of Origin (GoO) certificates from the EU. For gas we use Renewable Gas Guarantee of Origin (RGGO) certificates issued by the Green Gas Certification Scheme (GGCS).
Choosing renewable energy from TotalEnergies Gas & Power can help you:
- Reduce your carbon footprint
- Report zero emissions in your reporting schemes for your energy supply
- Fulfil your business’ CSR responsibilities and commitments
- Demonstrate to your customers that your business is environmentally responsible and sustainable
